What you need
- At least 3 complete pairs, public or private, each with both a light and a dark image. Up to 10.
- 1600 × 1000 (16:10). Bigger at the same shape is fine: a Retina screen captures at 3200 × 2000.
- PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 4 MB each when you upload them on the Listing tab.
- The first pair is the cover. Drag to reorder on the Listing tab.
Taking them in Stratos
The quickest way is the Screenshot button in the debug footer, which shows when you run Stratos in developer mode. It handles the size and both appearances for you.1
Open the screen
Launch Stratos with
--dev, load your plugin and open the screen you want to show, with real-looking data on it.2
Click Screenshot
Stratos sets the window to 1600 × 1000, captures the screen in light and then in dark, and puts your window and appearance back afterwards. The footer and any notifications are left out, and the title bar is drawn the same on every platform so all listings match.

Keep the files
The first time, choose a folder. Each pair saves as
{plugin-id}-{n}-light.png and {plugin-id}-{n}-dark.png, so you have them for your own site and socials too. Right-click Screenshot to change the folder.4
Add them to your listing
If your Skyvex Software account owns the plugin and is linked to the pilot you’re signed in as, the notification offers to add the pair to the plugin’s listing. Add an optional caption and the pair goes on as the listing’s last screenshot. Do it straight after capturing: only the latest pair can be added, and it’s forgotten when Stratos restarts. Otherwise, upload the saved files on the Listing tab.
When they’re missing
You can always upload a version, but it can’t be submitted for review until the listing has at least 3 complete pairs. Until then, every upload waits as a draft, including one fromstratos-deploy or an API token upload that sends What’s new (the response says why). In the Developer centre, Submit for review stays off and says how many pairs are missing. Add them on the Listing tab, then submit the draft. Versions already out with pilots aren’t affected.
Private plugins need them too: the airlines they’re shared with see the same listing.
Tips
- Show the plugin doing its job with real-looking data, not an empty state.
- Taking them by hand? Capture both images of each pair from the same screen at the same size, so switching appearance in Browse plugins doesn’t jump.
- Keep text readable at the size airlines see it: the cover shows small in the list.
