# Flights

> Every flight flown at your airline in Console, with filters and search, and each flight's track, vertical profile, landing report and flight log.

**Flights** lists every flight your pilots have flown with Stratos, newest first. Filter and search it to find a flight, then open it to see where it went, how it climbed and descended, how it landed and what Stratos recorded along the way.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **At a glance**
>
> * The list starts on the last 30 days. Switch to **7d**, **90d** or **All time** at the top right.
> * Filter by **Status**, **Simulator** or **Aircraft**, or search by callsign, route, aircraft or pilot.
> * Click a row to open the flight: track map, vertical profile, landing report and flight log.
> * A flight still in progress shows its aircraft on the track.

## Find a flight

Open **Flights** in the sidebar, under **Administration**.

![Harbour Virtual's Flights list: Status, Simulator and Aircraft filters, the period switch, search, and a row per flight](https://mintcdn.com/skyvexsoftware/bs1lqmNtmj0XilDu/images/screenshots/airline/flights-light.webp?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=bs1lqmNtmj0XilDu\&q=85\&s=09e3bb7d2c0b4f6c4fe831533ac63d68)

1. Pick the period at the top right: **7d**, **30d**, **90d** or **All time**. It starts on **30d**.
2. Narrow it with **Status**, **Simulator** or **Aircraft**. Each filter lists only the values in that period, with a count beside each.
3. Or type in **Search flights, routes, pilots**. It matches the callsign, flight number, departure or arrival ICAO, aircraft type and the pilot's first or last name.
4. Click the row to open the flight.

**Reset** clears the filters and search. The number of matching flights shows beside the search box. More rows load as you scroll.

## Read a flight

The top of the flight shows its callsign and status, then the route, aircraft type, and the pilot's name and pilot ID. **Flights** takes you back to the list.

![A completed flight, HBV718 from NZAA to YMHB: block time, distance, landing and date, then the track map](https://mintcdn.com/skyvexsoftware/bs1lqmNtmj0XilDu/images/screenshots/airline/flight-light.webp?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=bs1lqmNtmj0XilDu\&q=85\&s=a77fdd8a876ea5dd54fd6696f632ef5b)

Four numbers come first:

| | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Block time** | The flight's time in hours and minutes, measured by your airline's **Time capture** setting (air time unless you change it), with the simulator under it. |
| **Distance** | Distance flown in nm, with the planned distance under it when there was one. |
| **Landing** | The touchdown rate in fpm, with the [landing score](/guide/landing-score.md) under it. |
| **Date** | The day the flight started, with its status under it. |

### Track map

The map draws the flight's path, with markers at the departure and arrival ends. Hover over the path to see the altitude, ground speed, heading and flight phase at that point.

While a flight is still in progress, the map also shows the aircraft where it was when you opened the page. Reload the page to move it on, or follow it on the [Live map](/console/live-map.md), which updates on its own.

If no positions were recorded, the map says **Track unavailable**.

### Vertical profile

Two charts of altitude (ft) and ground speed (kt) against elapsed flight time. Hover for the values and the UTC time at any point. If the flight was paused, **Exclude pauses** removes the paused time so the charts join up.

### Landing report

How the flight touched down. Only flights that landed have one.

![The flight's Landing report card: touchdown rate, G-force, touchdown ground speed, bounces, approach speeds and capture quality](https://mintcdn.com/skyvexsoftware/bs1lqmNtmj0XilDu/images/screenshots/airline/flight-landing-light.webp?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=bs1lqmNtmj0XilDu\&q=85\&s=0684afc5d40e66ea07b94ebd099b85cc)

| Field | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Touchdown rate** | Vertical speed at touchdown, in fpm. |
| **G-force** | G-force at touchdown. |
| **Touchdown GS** | Ground speed at touchdown, in kt. |
| **Bounces** | How many times the aircraft left the ground again after touching down. |
| **Approach IAS** | Indicated airspeed on approach, in kt. |
| **Approach VS** | Vertical speed on approach, in fpm. |
| **Avg descent** | Average descent rate on the approach, in fpm. |
| **Capture** | How good the landing data was, for example **Excellent**. |

See [Landing rates](/guide/landing-rates.md) for how Stratos measures a touchdown.

### Flight log

Everything Stratos recorded during the flight, in order, with UTC times. Each entry is tagged with its kind, such as a phase change, a warning or a comment.

At the bottom, the flight number, the filed route, the cruise level, and when the flight started and finished.

> **The list's columns and statuses**
>
> | Column | What it shows |
> | - | - |
> | **Flight** | The callsign, or the flight number if there's no callsign. |
> | **Route** | Departure and arrival ICAO. |
> | **Aircraft** | The aircraft type's ICAO code. |
> | **Pilot** | First name and last initial. |
> | **Simulator** | The simulator the flight was flown on. |
> | **Block** | The flight's time as hours:minutes, measured by your airline's **Time capture** setting (air time unless you change it). |
> | **Landing** | Touchdown rate in fpm. Shows a dash when none was recorded. |
> | **Score** | The landing score. |
> | **Status** | See below. |
> | **Date** | When the flight started. |
>
> The **Display options** button beside the count hides or shows columns (**Flight** always shows), and turns on **Relative dates** ("12m ago") or **Compact rows**. Your choices are remembered in this browser.
>
> | Status | Meaning |
> | - | - |
> | **In progress** | Still being flown, or not yet off the blocks. |
> | **Completed** | Flown and filed. |
> | **Diverted** | Landed somewhere other than the planned arrival. See [Diversions](/guide/diversions.md). |
> | **Crashed** | The aircraft crashed. |
> | **Abandoned** | Stratos stopped hearing from the flight and it was closed off. |
> | **Cancelled** | The pilot ended it, for example by cancelling before pushback or dismissing a crash recovery. |
>
> The period counts flights by when they started. A completed flight counts on the Overview's stat cards by when it finished, so the two can differ slightly at the edges of a period.
